Everest Base Camp Trek -15 Days

Everest base camp is situated at 17,500 feet high at Khumbu Valley, Nepal. It is the starting point for the Mt.Everest climbers to get used to high altitude and reduce chance of altitude sickness. It is one of the best trekking and adventourous route to Himalayas. The trekking route passes through the Sagarmatha National Park to Everest Base Camp.
Trekking by the  beautiful mountain scenarioes along with Junipers, Blue pine and Rhodedendrons sheds accompanied by the presence of Himalayan black bears, Himalayan Thars, Snow leopard, Red panda and the Himalayan specialities in this sacred and world heritage site Sagarmatha NP would be fascinating. Way to Himalayas  will be beautifully crafted along with Mani stones on the way. Buddhist monastaries and the unique Sherpa culture are another specialities. Stupa, Chorten's and the Gompas (monasteries) mirror the towering landscape all around the Sagarmatha National Park as their cultural footsteps.
Everest Base Camp trekking is all about Nature, culture and adventure.
The Everest Base Camp also includes the destination of Kala Patthar along its route. The Everest Base Camp Trek will also guide you through the largest glacier of Nepal and The World’s highest Glacier, the Khumbu Glacier.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft) Duration: 6 hours
Day 05: Namche Bazaar- Acclimatization Day
Day 06: Namche to Tengboche (3860m/12660ft) Duration: 5 hours

Day 08: Dingboche (4,360m./14,300ft): Rest day
Day 09: Dingboche -  Lobuche (4940m/16207ft) Duration: 3 hours

Day 11: Gorakshep - Kala Pathar (5545m/18188ft) - Gorakshep - Pheriche (4210m/13809ft) Duration: 7 hours
Day 12: Pheriche to Namche (3440m/11283ft) Duration 6 hours
Day 13: Namche to Lukla (2800m/9184ft) Duration: 7 hours
Day 14: Lukla to Kathmandu
Day 15:  Farewell

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m /4,264 ft)

The guest will be received at Tribhuvan International Airport of Nepal by the representative of Himalayan Action Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. Guests are checked in to the standard 3 star hotel. There will be refreshment and short visit around the variant Cultural city, Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing and Trekking Preparation

The Himalayan Action Trek team will guide you through the upcoming event briefing. The day will be served with the sightseeing around Kathmandu towards the cultural and heritage sites such as Boudhanath Stupa,  Pashupatinath Temple, Basantapur and Swaymbhunath Stupa (Monkey temple) . Along with the cultural visit, evening time will be served with the welcoming dinner by Himalayan Action Treks and Tours.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding (2652m): 3 to 4 hours of trekking

The day will be started after breakfast in early morning with the courageous and one of the fantastic flights in the world. The flight will be landed at Lukla airport. The Lukla Airport is also reknown as Tenzing – Hillary Airport, which was named after the first Everest summiteers; Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Admund Hillary in 2008. Lukla is a small and beautiful place with cultural richness. Short hike from Lukla will take us to Phakding. There will be short visit to the cultural places and monasteries on the way and around the Phakding on the day. The team will spend their evening at Phakding.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3400m): 5 to 6 hours

Himalayan Action team will walk ahead to the beautiful sub-alpine forest, dominated by pines. The chilling environment will guide you along the Dudh Koshi River. The team will encounter many suspension bridges. The team will be inspired by the beautiful himalayan landscape and eyecatching view of Mount Thamserku, Lhotse and range of Mount Everest.  We will be passing through the one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Sagarmatha National Park. The rocky and shady trail along with the short ups and down will lead us to the Gateway of Mount Everest. We will rest in Namche on this day.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar: (Acclimatization Day)

The Himalayan Action team will have rest day at Namche. Namche Bazaar is the famous place as village of Sherpa and Himalayan culture. The place is fascinated by the cultural richness as well as the administrative junction of government offices, hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops, communication as well.  The day can be spend by short visit around the village and the observation of Tourist Visitor Center near the headquarter of the Sagarmatha NP.  One can have information about the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about the cultural practices of Sherpa and Himalayan people at the region.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3900m): 5 to 6 hours

After the Acclimatization, we are ready to move ahead. Our trail will be inspiring and mesmerizing. Passing through the Sagarmatha National Park, we will have spectacular views of Mountain ranges. Mount Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku and Most beautiful Ama Dablam will accompany us through the trail. We can witness the Himalayan Thar, Musk Deer, Multi- colored Pheasants and the Himalayan wild lives if we were lucky. The trail will lead to Kayangjuma and Sansa which is the major trail junction to Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp. Phunki Thenga will be a resting place on the way which is accompanied by small settlement with teahouses. Short ascent and descent will lead to Tengboche that provides opportunity to closely feel the beauty of astonishing view of Ama Dablam.

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche(4400m): 5 to 6 hours

It will be a great morning if you want to see sunrise with mountains at its backdrop.  Sunrays of the morning will shine the Tengboche monasteries to give spectacular view. The Himalayan Action Team will Hike via Pangboche village to attend beautiful vistas and panaromic views. Small villages, mountain lives, cultural heritages are worth to see. We will be passing closely to Ama Dablam to Imja Valley. The valley will be gradually unfolded as we approach the confluence of Lobuche river. There will be a steep climb before reaching our destination, Dingboche. The beautiful Dingboche will be waiting to show its green and astonishing view of beautiful arrays of fields enclosed by stone walls. Buckwheat , Barley and Potatoes are the major crops of the place. The team will have night stay at Dingboche.

Day 08: Dingboche : Rest Day (4350m)

Himalayan Action Team will have another acclimatization day at Dingboche. Sunshine view in early morning would be astonishing.  It might be really one of the best place to observe Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Everest, Mt. Choyo and other ranges of Mountain Peaks. Dingboche would be a place to venture different high peak ranging over 8000 m. Beautiful Imja Valley, Barley field arrays, Mountain peaks and its ranges would be really a nice refreshment for the day.

Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4850m): 3 to 4 hours

The Himalayan Action Trek team will pass through Khumbu Khola Valley to climb Duglha. The trail will be accompanied with panaromic view of Mountain ranges. We will be passing through a Yak herder’s place, renowned as Dusa. From there, the valley will be narrowed to to Phulung Karpo which is the camp site of the first successful Everest expedition in 1953. As we move ahead, we will pass Chola lake and have majestic view of Mt. Pumori. After ascending to Dugla, Mt. Nuptse , Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Thamserku and several Peaks will be staring you on your trail. We will have about an hour of trek to be in Lobuche. The team will spend their night in Lobuche.

Day 10: Day 10: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5365m)- Gorakshep (5180m): 8 hours

We pass through the Khumbu and Changri Glacier to catch the glimpse of Kala Patthar. It is the gray –green knoll beneath the Mt. Pumori. Beautiful 360 degree vistas of snowy capped mountains would steal the attraction. Our trail will lead to Everest Base Camp through the vast Gorakshep Lake. We can view the Nuptse, Khumbuste and Mt. Pumori from the Everest Base Camp. We will have our destination at the Base Camp…

Kala Pathhar is supposed to visit for the view of sunset if possible.

Day 11: Gorakshep to Kala Pathar (5550m), to Pheriche (4220m): Duration 7 hours

Himalayan Action team will reach to Periche after about 6 to 7  hours of trek.

Day 12: Pheriche to Namche (3450m): Duration 6 hours

We will be returning to Namche Bazaar, from where we had our trek earlier. We would cross across Khumbu Khola following the Everest trail down with beautiful vistas of mountains and the oak/pine forest. We appreciate the gorgeous Ama-Dablam, Thamserku. Nuptse, Lhotse , Everest view and have night stay at Namche Bazaar. 

Day 13: Namche to Lukla (2800m) Duration: 7 hours

The Himalayan Action Team will be again enjoying the cultural practices of Mountainous people. The Prayer stones on the way and landscape including the prayer flags will indicate the faith of Buddhism on the way. It will resemble the beauty and peace after the majestic journey. We will be in Lukla through the eyecatching views of mountains on the way. We will have our night stay at Luka.

Day 14: Lukla to Kathmandu

The Himalayan Action team will return back to Kathmandu after the great trail. Early morning flight will drop us to Kathmandu where we can have rest throughout the day at hotel or wonder around the city. At the evening, there will be cultural gathering and celebration for the completion of the journey.

Day 15: Farewell

The day is the time for departure. The Himalayan Action Team will drop you to the Airport according to your flight time.
