Everest base camp is situated at 17,500 feet high at Khumbu Valley, Nepal. It is the starting point for the Mt.Everest climbers to get used to high altitude and reduce chance of altitude sickness. It is one of the best trekking and adventourous route to Himalayas. The trekking route passes through the Sagarmatha National Park to Everest Base Camp.
Trekking by the  beautiful mountain scenarioes along with Junipers, Blue pine and Rhodedendrons sheds accompanied by the presence of Himalayan black bears, Himalayan Thars, Snow leopard, Red panda and the Himalayan specialities in this sacred and world heritage site Sagarmatha NP would be fascinating. Way to Himalayas  will be beautifully crafted along with Mani stones on the way. Buddhist monastaries and the unique Sherpa culture are another specialities. Stupa, Chorten's and the Gompas (monasteries) mirror the towering landscape all around the Sagarmatha National Park as their cultural footsteps.
Everest Base Camp trekking is all about Nature, culture and adventure.
The Everest Base Camp also includes the destination of Kala Patthar along its route. The Everest Base Camp Trek will also guide you through the largest glacier of Nepal and The World’s highest Glacier, the Khumbu Glacier.

Day 01: Arrival in Tribhuvan Internation Airport Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Day 02: Sightseeing and trek Preparation in Kathmandu

Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): About 3 - 4 hours trek

Day 04: Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): About 5 - 6 hours

Day 14: Gorakshep - Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): About 7-8 hours

Day 15: Pheriche - Namche Bazaar: About 6 - 7 hours

Day 16: Namche Bazaar - Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): About 6 - 7 hours

Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 01: Arrival in Tribhuvan Internation Airport Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

The Himalayan Action Treks and Tours representatives will receive you in the Tribhuvan International Airport at your arrival. The company will take you to your accommodation and manage for your resting. You will be guided with brief introduction about the trek by the experts. There will be Traditional Nepalese Dinner at your service by the company in the evening.


Day 02: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

The Kathmandu Valley is ancient city with its vibrant color of people and their culture. Historical monuments, temples, stupas, monasteries, museums are places of attractions. The city has much more interesting stories about people and their life so the day will be yours with them. We will be having a sightseen around these treasures and have final preparation for the Trekking.


Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 8km, about 3 - 4 hours trek

Trekings will start with the exciting flight to Lukla. It will make your good starting with the eyecatching view of aerial views of hills, snowcapped mountain ranges and te beautiful landscapes. Around 45 min of flight, we will be in Lukla (9,186ft).  It is the gateway to the trekking to Everest. About an hour’s descent trek from Lukla, we will be in Cheplung village from where we have a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila (18900ft). The mountain has been a sacred mountain and with the eye catching view and decent to Phakding we will have our checkpoint to Phakding.


Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 - 6 hours

We will be heading to the very sacred and historical land of Sherpas, the Namche Bazar which has been famous for the birthplace and unique cultural place of Sherpas.

We will cross the Dudh Koshi and pass Chumoa to Monjo on the Shade of beautiful pine forest with rhododendron. We will pass Jorsale village and a steep ascent will take us to the land of Sherpas. The Namche Bazaar is the place where we will have our night stay.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)

The sunrise will let you engrave the beauty of Mt. Everest and the Mt. Lhotse. This might be what Sherpa are inspired by, to be the best climbers in the world. We will be resting the day exploring the land of brave. We can do shopping, wonder in the village to explore Sherpa culture, visit Hillary School and enjoy the local tradition. The day is moreover a day to acclimatize you.


Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga (3,680m/12,073ft): 6km, 5-6 hours

We will pass an ascent to Khumjung hill. Passing the hill we take our route to Phortse. On the way,we visit Mohang . It is the birthplace of the re-incarnated Lama of Rongbuk Monastery. He has been regarded as the introducer of Buddhism in Khumbu reiong of Nepal. Then some descend with sandy slope by the Dudh Koshi will take us to Phortse Tanga. We stay overnight there.

Day 07: Phortse Thanga to Machhermo (4,470m/ 14,663ft): 10km, 4-5 hours

Early morning we become ready for uphill. We will be heading to climb Machhermo. It comprises the shady forest of rhododendron, pine and the Himalayan coniferous jungle. The ascent takes through Dhole, Labarma and Luza villages which are beautiful. About the trek of 4-5 hours along the Dudh Koshi River, we would be in Machhermo. We will be staying there.

Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo (4,800 m/15,744 ft): 7km, 4-5 hours

We set off early to view the beautiful scenario of down valley from the ridge of hill. We pass through Phangkha and descend to riverbank. Then we climb onto the moraing of the Ngazumpa Glacier and pass Longpongo. At the Juncture we can observe the footprints on a stone regarded as lama footprint. We find series of lakes along the trail which attracts the trekkers. Gokyo village lies by the third lake. We can explore around the lake and witness the beauty of mesmerizing Cho-Oyu Mountain backdrop and deep blue lakes.

Day 09: Gokyo Valley: Acclimatization Day - Optional Hike to Gokyo Ri (5357 m/17,570 ft): 2km, 3 - 4 hours

We will have rest on this day. We spend our time by ascending Gokyo Ri and enjoy the beautiful scenarios of Himalayas. We spend our time on nearby Lakes, visit Gokyo 4th and 5th. Cho-Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Everest are spreading their beauty in the nature. We spend the night in Gokyo village.

Day 10: Gokyo to Thagnak (4750 m/15,580 ft): 4km, 4 - 5 hours

We will be heading to Thagnak. We pass through the Ngazumpa Glacier to the mountain on the other side. The trail can took us along the beauty of panoramic mountain view. The Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Kangtega, Taboche, Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Evesrest will spread their beauty all way along.  We would be in Thangnak very soon so we can rest and wonder around to catch the local scenario.


Day 11: Thagnak to Cho La pass (5,367m/17,604 ft) to Dzongla (15, 939 ft): 7km, 7 - 8 hours

The day starts early in the morning. We set off the steep climb which is little bit difficult as it might be slippery vertical path as well as it concludes glacier traverse. We climb through the ravine and rocky trail from Phedi. We need to pass some crevasses too. On the way beautiful Ama Dablam and other gorgeous peaks encourage us to be more determined. Cholatse, Lobuche East and Baruntse wouldn’t miss to express their presence. After some difficult routes of 7-8 hours we reach to Dzongla Village. We stay overnight there.

Day 12: Dzongla to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 6km, 2 - 3 hours

This day we have very short trek. We descent from Dzongla and pass through grassy trail to Lobuche. We reach very soon and have lot time to take rest. We will be staying in Lobuche seeing the beauty of the lofty peaks.

Day 13: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours

The day will take you to see the beauty of Gorakshep Lake. Some ascent and misleading way will head to Everest Base Camp so need to follow our guide this day. There will be rocky way with thin and chilly air. Moraines and stream will be on the way with giant mountains, Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori on the surrounding. Tents of mountaineers will be seen upon reaching the Everest Base Camp. It will be seen as a city market of Light in the lap of great Mt. Everest while in evening.

We will be back to Gorakshep for our night stay. However for the astonishing view of sunset, we can go to Kalapatthar during sunset in this day and need to coordinate with the guide. The scenario will be blessing to your journey. 

Day 14: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours

We will be leaving early morning in the dawn. The Mt Everest will be ready to reveal its beauty with the familiar peaks as Lingtren, Khumbutse and Changtse. From Kala Pathhar the very close and formidable view of Mt. Everest is the reason why you are there for. There will be time for clicks and adhere the beauty of great Mt Everest and the Himalayan ranges.

We take descent to Pheriche for our night stay.

Day 15: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 20km, 6 - 7 hours

Now we will be trekking to Namche Bazaar passing descent through the rocky way along the Dudh Koshhi river. The Great Himalyas will wave you back and forest of rhododendron, junipers will give you shade in the sunny day. It will be chill trek down to Namche Bazaar.

Day 16: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 - 7 hours

The descent will continue to make your legs shaky against the rocky steeps. We can have slow but continuous walk until the Lukla. Taking our memories, now again will be passing the suspension bridges and shores of Dudh Koshi as if they saying to visit again.

We will be in Lukla for our night stay and take rest.

Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu

It is time to come back to Kathmandu. With the flight in early morning, we will be taking stories with us from the land of mountains and then come to Kathmandu. The team will receive you and prepares for your accommodation.

There will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey.


Day 18: Final departure

The representatives from the Himalayan Action Treks and Tours will take you to the Airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight. Hoping the journey would had been great, we would call you again for your next visit.
